According to consistent sources, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy issued a decision on Monday, April 14, 2025, to dismiss the regional delegate of tourism in Tata from his duties. The regional tourism delegate in Agadir has been appointed to temporarily assume the position on an interim basis.
This decision comes in the wake of a video that went viral on social media platforms on April 12, showing the official driving a state-owned vehicle containing alcoholic beverages — a scene that triggered widespread criticism and public outrage.
According to available information, the dismissed official had previously been the subject of multiple reports and complaints concerning administrative mismanagement and a lack of professional stability at his workplace in Tata. This led the ministry to take the dismissal decision in line with the principle of accountability and to safeguard the reputation of the tourism sector.
