Rabat: In line with the implementation of the 2023 program contract between the government and the Interprofessional Federation of Oilseed Crops (FOLEA), which aims to upgrade the oilseed value chain, both the Federation and the National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) have initiated a strategic partnership agreement between them.
This agreement, which has been presented for signing, is based on a shared commitment to enhance research and development in the oilseed sector, recognizing the pivotal role this field plays in improving productivity and enhancing production quality.
Through this partnership, the two parties aim to design, plan, and implement joint activities in the areas of research and development and technology transfer, ensuring that oilseed producers benefit from the latest advancements achieved in agricultural research. This particularly includes enabling them to access seeds suitable for local climatic and soil conditions, which will contribute to improving the profitability of their farms and increasing their income sustainably.
This initiative reflects the importance that both FOLEA and INRA attach to integrating scientific research outputs into the service of agricultural development and strengthening the sector’s ability to keep pace with modern technical and scientific developments.
