Hassan Tariq, whom His Majesty King Mohammed VI appointed as Secretary General of the Government on Friday, October 16, 2026, was born on January 1, 1974 in Bhalil (Sefrou Province). Mr. Tariq holds a Doctorate in Public Law from the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences at Mohammed V University in Rabat. A prominent constitutional scholar and author, he served as a professor of higher education at Hassan I University in Settat and Mohammed V University in Rabat, where he chaired the Department of Public Law and Political Science and coordinated the national network of public law department heads.
