King Mohammed VI Sends Condolences to the Family of the Late Artist Mohcine Jamal

Rabat: His Majesty King Mohammed VI has sent a message of condolence and sympathy to the family of the late Moroccan artist Mohcine Jamal, who recently passed away.

In his message, His Majesty expressed his “deep emotion and sorrow” upon receiving the news of the artist’s passing, praising his artistic career that spanned over four decades, during which he contributed to the “renewal of Moroccan song and enriched its repertoire with distinguished works that still enjoy the admiration and appreciation of lovers of authentic Moroccan music.”

His Majesty added in the message: “On this sad occasion, we express to you, and through you, to all your family and loved ones, to his large artistic family, and to all his friends and admirers, our warmest condolences and sincere feelings of sympathy on the loss of a prominent singer and composer.”

The message also included King Mohammed VI’s prayer for the deceased to be embraced by God’s “vast generosity and pleasure, and to be granted spacious paradise,” and for his family and loved ones to be granted patience and solace.

His Majesty concluded his message with a verse from the Quran: “Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.”
