The Director General of National Security has issued directives to the health services of the national police to monitor the health condition of an excellent security officer from the traffic division in the Hay Hassani area of Casablanca, who was involved in a serious intentional traffic accident. This incident occurred after a driver refused to stop at a red traffic light.
The Casablanca Security Directorate and the relevant central services have also been tasked with providing necessary support, including covering the medical expenses for the injured officer, who is currently receiving care in the intensive care unit after sustaining a head injury and multiple fractures in his limbs and chest.
The injured officer was performing his official duties at a traffic roundabout in the Hay Hassani area when he asked a motorist to stop in order to register a traffic violation for running a red light. However, the driver deliberately fled, resulting in serious injuries to the officer.
Police were able to apprehend the suspect, a 34-year-old man, who has been placed under provisional detention pending an investigation ordered by the competent public prosecutor. This investigation aims to clarify all circumstances and details surrounding these criminal acts.
