The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced an updated list of the continent’s elite referees after the end of the last football season.
The new list witnessed notable changes, as it included the names of 24 referees from various African countries, and among these names, there was a limited participation of referees from Morocco, including Jalal Jaid and Bouchra Karboubi.
The Moroccan participation in the list comes within the framework of local representation, and reinforces the Kingdom’s role in football governance at the continental level, reflecting diversity and regional representation in Caf’s arbitration committees.
This update comes in the context of CAF’s efforts to enhance transparency and efficiency in African football governance, and improve the level of refereeing at various continental and international competitions.
