Meknes – Special Report
The city of Meknes witnessed on Friday, November 22, 2024, the second edition of the study day organized by the Higher Institute of Nursing and Health Technologies under the theme “The Higher Institute of Nursing and Health Technologies in Service of Health Sciences and Environment.”
This important event was held under the supervision of the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection in the Fez-Meknes region, with the participation of more than 150 participants including students, professors, and healthcare workers from various Moroccan cities such as Rabat, Casablanca, Settat, El Jadida, Fez, Tetouan, Kenitra, and Meknes.
Dr. Salima Saasaa, the Regional Director of Health and Social Protection in the Fez-Meknes region, opened the study day with a speech emphasizing the importance of this event as a qualitative platform bringing together healthcare sector specialists to address public health challenges and environmental preservation. For his part, Dr. Mustafa Didouh, the Institute’s Director, stressed the institution’s commitment to training a new generation capable of facing environmental and health challenges.
During the scientific sessions, participants discussed three main themes: Training and Scientific Research in Health Sciences, Challenges and Priorities in Public Health, and Environmental Health and Health Safety. Lectures on these topics were presented by Dr. Tawfiq Benjelloun from the Addiction Medicine Center in Meknes, Dr. Himi Benasser from the Higher Institute of Nursing and Health Technologies in Rabat, Dr. Rachdi Fawzi from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Fez, and Dr. Hanan Kabir from the Population Directorate.
The study day, coordinated by Professors Rawi Sidi Mohammed, Jawhar Samira, and Kariaa Salima, concluded with the presentation of important recommendations and the distribution of certificates of appreciation to participants, amid consensus on the significance of the scientific meeting’s outcomes and commitment to their implementation in practice.
