The Royal Speech also addressed national identity and its historical and civilizational foundations. The King affirmed that his pride in being Moroccan grows stronger and more deeply rooted with the passing years.

King Mohammed VI highlighted Morocco’s standing as an ancient nation under a monarchy deeply rooted in history. He referred to the Kingdom’s religious identity, embodied in the institution of Amir Al Mouminine (Commander of the Faithful), as well as its rich civilizational identity, characterized by the diversity of its components.

The King also referred to the political and diplomatic gains, along with the development, economic and social achievements made by the Kingdom. He stressed that pride in the country should translate into a sense of responsibility and commitment to national duty, rather than remaining merely an expression of pride in past achievements.

The King affirmed that the next phase calls for continued reforms and major projects, while ensuring that economic growth is linked to improved social conditions and reduced territorial disparities.

These priorities intersect with the main areas addressed in the Royal Speech, particularly water, energy and food security, industrial development, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, youth employment and the promotion of territorial development.

The speech also emphasized the importance of moving towards practical, on-the-ground action that addresses the actual problems facing each region, strengthens the role of institutions in improving public services and encourages productive investment.

Through these priorities, the Royal Speech underscores the connection between the new legislative term and the continuation of economic, social and administrative reforms, as part of efforts to achieve balanced development and strengthen confidence in national institutions.
