A student source at Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University told FesNews Media that students at the Dhar El Mahraz University Campus in Fez have secured a significant new transport milestone with the approval of two new direct urban bus lines connecting the university campus directly to students’ residential neighborhoods.

Direct Campus-to-Neighborhood Transit

According to the same student source speaking to FesNews Media, the newly approved direct lines will allow urban transit buses to transport students directly between the Dhar El Mahraz campus and their respective neighborhoods without requiring multiple transfers or long waits at intermediate stations. The measure aims to significantly ease daily commuting pressure and overcrowding during peak morning and evening hours.

The student source added that students are currently gathering at the main Dhar El Mahraz campus plaza to hold open discussions and coordinate on the exact routes and stops of the two new lines ahead of their official launch, ensuring optimal coverage of high-density student districts across Fez.
