Guercif – November 3, 2025 – Elements of the judicial police in the city of Guercif, in coordination with the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), carried out a high-quality security operation on the morning of Monday, November 3, 2025, which resulted in the arrest of four individuals, including a young woman, on suspicion of involvement in cases of electronic fraud and impersonation of public officials.
Details of the Security Operation
The operation came following precise investigations that led to a raid on a house under construction that the suspects were using as a base for their fraudulent operations. The perpetrators relied on mobile phones and modern communication means to lure victims through deceptive slogans such as “Hello, You’ve Won with Us,” then seizing their money through fraudulent methods.
The raid resulted in the seizure of:
- A number of mobile phones.
- SIM cards.
- Sums of money.
- A vehicle suspected of being used in the network’s activities.
Legal Procedures
On instructions from the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office, two individuals were placed under police custody, while the third suspect and the young woman were prosecuted while free, pending completion of the judicial investigation proceedings.
