Casablanca – November 3, 2025 – Monitoring and enforcement operations carried out by police forces of the Casablanca Security Prefecture during the night of Saturday to Sunday, November 1-2, 2025, resulted in the arrest of 30 individuals for their involvement in reckless and dangerous driving, using vehicles on public roads under conditions that disrupt or obstruct traffic. These measures came within the framework of an intensive action plan to enhance public safety and combat dangerous traffic violations.
Details of the Security Operation
The suspects were apprehended in flagrante delicto in multiple areas of the city while engaging in reckless driving on motorcycles, individually or in groups, threatening the security and safety of road users. The violations included:
- Failure to comply with police orders and insulting officers during the performance of their duty.
- Driving under the influence of narcotics or alcohol.
- Possession of drugs and psychotropic substances.
- Possession and use of bladed weapons.
The investigations resulted in the seizure of 60 vehicles suspected of being used in these driving incidents, all of which were transferred to municipal impound lots pursuant to impoundment orders.
Legal Proceedings
Those arrested were placed in police custody pending judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office, to determine the criminal acts attributed to them and take necessary measures.
