STATEMENT
Renewal of the membership of the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, for the second time, within the composition of the Supreme Council of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences
The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, is participating during the period from November 2 to 4, in the proceedings of the fifty-first session of the annual meeting of the Supreme Council of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences. On this occasion, he is also attending the official ceremony for the graduation of the forty-third class of graduate students of the university, which is considered the scientific and educational arm of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers.
The participation of the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance in these scientific events and academic activities comes in his capacity as a member of the composition of the Supreme Council of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, which is the highest decision-making body in this Arab university institution. The council is responsible for formulating the university’s general policy, supervising its scientific, administrative and financial affairs, and making decisions that ensure optimal achievement of its objectives in the field of police training and education and all security and technical sciences.
During the proceedings of this visit, the membership of the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance was renewed for a second term within the composition and structure of the Supreme Council of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, to continue efforts aimed at developing the university’s future vision in the field of modernizing academic police training curricula.
In a related context, members of the Supreme Council of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences in its current session, chaired by the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, discussed mechanisms for implementing the university’s phased strategy for the period 2025-2029, based on diversifying the university’s educational programs and research activities, as well as anticipating and addressing future challenges in the field of developing academic police education.
A number of achievements made by Naif Arab University for Security Sciences under its current strategic plan were also reviewed, particularly its obtaining international accreditation for its training programs from the American Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) until 2030, as well as obtaining full accreditation for three of its academic programs from the High Council for Research and Higher Education Evaluation in France. Additionally, its program on economic crimes received recognition from a group of foreign research institutions, and the Cybercrime Master’s program was classified within the Saudi Cybersecurity Framework.
In parallel with these decision-making activities, the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance participated in the annual graduation ceremony for the 43rd class of graduate students of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences in various police, legal and technical specializations. This year’s class includes 374 male and female students representing 11 Arab countries. The ceremony was presided over by the Saudi Minister of Interior and President of the Supreme Council of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz.
