The Provincial Police Department in Marrakech arrested four individuals on the evening of Tuesday, September 9, suspected of involvement in issuing fake medical certificates in exchange for money. The suspects include a private sector general practitioner, his assistant, and two intermediaries, aged between 29 and 59.
According to initial investigation details, the police received information that two intermediaries were offering services to provide medical certificates to individuals seeking to complete administrative files without undergoing any medical examinations, in return for payment. The suspects were caught in possession of medical certificates bearing the stamp of a general practitioner in Marrakech.
Following further investigation, the doctor was arrested at his clinic in Marrakech, along with his assistant, on suspicion of involvement in this criminal activity.
The detainees have been placed under judicial custody pending investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor to clarify all circumstances surrounding the case.
