National Security at Mohammed V International Airport Arrests Suspect in International Cocaine Trafficking Case

On Friday, June 27, National Security officers at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca arrested a 24-year-old man from a Sub-Saharan African country on suspicion of involvement in an international cocaine trafficking case.

The suspect was apprehended immediately upon arrival on a flight from a South American airport. A search of his luggage uncovered 5.6 kilograms of cocaine carefully concealed inside his belongings.

The suspect has been placed under judicial custody and is at the disposal of the judicial police department in Casablanca, conducting an investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to uncover all circumstances and backgrounds related to the case.

This operation is part of the intensified efforts by the General Directorate of National Security to combat international drug trafficking networks and narcotics, aiming to strengthen national security and stability.
