Elements of the Tangier Security Prefecture managed to arrest a suspect on Monday evening, March 10, in connection with a robbery under threat at a money transfer agency in the city of Tangier.
According to preliminary information, the suspect had earlier that morning stolen a sum of money from inside the agency after threatening one of the employees using a flammable liquid. The suspect had threatened to set the place on fire if his demands were not met.
Thanks to intensive investigations and inquiries conducted by the security services, the suspect’s identity was determined, and he was arrested just hours after committing the crime. A search operation led to the recovery of the stolen amount in his possession.
The suspect has been placed under police custody on the instructions of the competent public prosecutor’s office, pending a judicial investigation aimed at uncovering all the details and circumstances of the case, as well as determining all the criminal acts attributed to him.
Investigations are currently underway to determine whether the suspect is involved in other similar crimes, as part of ongoing security efforts to ensure the stability and safety of citizens and their property.
