A person who was in police custody in Beni Mellal died this morning while being questioned in a misdemeanor case.
According to informed sources, the suspect was taken into custody by order of the competent public prosecution, based on a national search warrant issued against him, as part of the ongoing investigations in the case.
While he was in custody, the suspect suffered a sudden health scare and had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he died there.
The body of the deceased was deposited at the mortuary, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact causes of death.
The security services in Beni Mellal, under the instructions of the competent public prosecution, opened a judicial investigation into the circumstances of this case, in order to reveal all its details and circumstances.
