Morocco’s House of Representatives held its weekly Oral Questions plenary session on Monday afternoon, November 2, 2026, featuring heated exchanges between parliamentary groups from both the majority and the opposition and Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi.

Divorce Rates, Family Mediation, and Anti-Corruption Legislation

Members of Parliament questioned the Minister of Justice on the sharp rise in divorce cases and family breakdown across Morocco, calling for stronger institutional family mediation mechanisms. The session also addressed five unified questions on government measures to prevent conflicts of interest, abuse of power, and corruption in public administration, alongside updates on the Penal Code reform and the implementation of the new Civil Procedure Code (Law 58.25).
