Son Altesse Royale le Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan a présidé, ce jeudi à l’espace “OLM Souissi” à Rabat, l’ouverture de la 31e édition du Salon International de l’Édition et du Livre, organisé sous le Haut Patronage de Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI, du 1er au 10 mai 2026.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired on Thursday at the OLM Souissi venue in Rabat the opening ceremony of the 31st International Publishing and Book Fair, organized under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI from May 1 to May 10, 2026.

L’inauguration de cet événement culturel international par le Prince Héritier reflète l’attention particulière accordée par le Roi à la culture et au livre, ainsi que la vision royale visant à consolider une société du savoir, promouvoir l’ouverture intellectuelle et renforcer le rayonnement culturel du Royaume.
The inauguration of this international cultural event by the Crown Prince reflects the special importance that the King attaches to culture and books, as well as the royal vision aimed at strengthening a knowledge-based society, promoting intellectual openness, and enhancing the Kingdom’s cultural influence.

Au cours de cette visite, le Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan a effectué une tournée dans plusieurs pavillons du salon, notamment celui de la France, invitée d’honneur de cette édition, dans une célébration illustrant la profondeur des relations historiques et culturelles entre les deux pays, dans le cadre du partenariat stratégique renforcé sous la conduite du Roi Mohammed VI et du président français Emmanuel Macron.
During the visit, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan toured several exhibition stands, including the France pavilion, the guest of honor for this year’s edition, highlighting the deep historical and cultural ties between the two countries within the framework of the strategic partnership strengthened under the leadership of King Mohammed VI and French President Emmanuel Macron.

La visite a également concerné le pavillon du ministère de la Jeunesse, de la Culture et de la Communication, ainsi que l’espace consacré au thème de cette édition, “Ibn Battouta et la littérature de voyage”, en plus des stands de l’Observatoire National des Droits de l’Enfant, de la Fondation Mohammed VI pour les personnes en situation de handicap, de l’espace Palestine et de plusieurs institutions culturelles et éducatives.
The visit also included the pavilion of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, as well as the section dedicated to this year’s theme, “Ibn Battuta and Travel Literature,” in addition to stands representing the National Observatory for Children’s Rights, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Persons with Disabilities, the Palestine space, and several cultural and educational institutions.

L’édition de cette année coïncide avec la désignation de Rabat par l’UNESCO comme Capitale mondiale du livre pour l’année 2026, une distinction qui reflète le statut culturel et civilisationnel de la capitale marocaine et consacre la vision royale visant à faire de Rabat une ville des lumières et de la culture.
