The global Forvia Group, ranked seventh worldwide in automotive equipment manufacturing, inaugurated a new industrial facility today in the “Technopolis” industrial acceleration zone in Sala, in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Trade, Riad Mezzouar, and the Group’s CEO, Patrick Koller.
The company will complete the launch of a second facility tomorrow, Thursday, by expanding its production site in the city of Kenitra, in a step aimed at strengthening its industrial capabilities in the Moroccan and European markets.
The Minister of Industry and Trade emphasized that these industrial projects demonstrate the “confidence of industrial leaders in Morocco’s potential”, noting that the company has been present in the Kingdom for more than 15 years and benefits from the “qualitative leap” experienced by the industrial sector thanks to the wise royal vision.
The two new facilities are expected to create around 2,000 job opportunities during the period from 2024 to 2027, while improving industrial infrastructure and increasing production spaces.
Mezzouar clarified that these projects will work to “enhance the local integration of national production chains” and establish Morocco’s position within global value chain networks in the automotive manufacturing sector.
This step comes in the context of Forvia Group’s strategic expansion in Morocco, reinforcing its industrial presence and competitive position in the automotive equipment market, with a focus on developing local capabilities and creating job opportunities for Moroccan talents.
