The Moroccan national blind football team achieved a valuable victory against Japan, winning 1-0 in a match held on Monday as part of the second round of Group B in the ongoing Paralympic Games in Paris.The only goal of the match was scored by Japanese player Robertoizumi Sasaki, who inadvertently netted an own goal in the 26th minute of the first half.The Moroccan team had previously drawn 0-0 in their first match against Argentina. They will face Colombia in the final group match on Tuesday.
Coach’s Statement
National team coach Driss Moutaqi emphasized that this victory is crucial for enhancing the team’s chances of qualifying for the next round of the tournament. In a statement to the Moroccan News Agency, he noted that the last match will be challenging and exciting, as all teams are striving for victory. He added that despite injuries to some key players, the team will approach these matches with determination to win.
