Rabat – The Royal Armed Forces of Morocco have announced the organization of the First International Military Music Festival, as part of the celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the Throne Day. This exceptional event will take place from July 26 to 30, 2024.
In a statement, the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces explained that the festival will feature a series of concerts in the main squares of the cities of Rabat, Salé, Témara, Tetouan, and M’diq.
This unique event will bring together seven national music bands from various components of the Royal Armed Forces, the Royal Guard, the Royal Gendarmerie, the General Directorate of National Security, and the Auxiliary Forces. Additionally, military music bands from six foreign countries will participate: Saudi Arabia, Côte d’Ivoire, United Arab Emirates, Spain, the United States of America, and Senegal.
The opening ceremony will be held in Rabat on July 26, 2024, at Al Barid Square, followed by simultaneous performances on July 27, 2024, in Rabat (Mahaj Riad), Salé (Bab El Mrissa), and Témara (Harhoura Beach).
The festival will culminate on July 30, 2024, with a closing concert at El Mechouar Square in Tetouan, preceded by musical performances on July 29, 2024, on the M’diq Corniche. The military bands will present their various festival performances starting at 9:00 PM.
This International Military Music Festival is the first of its kind, aiming to highlight the richness and diversity of military musical traditions from participating countries.
The unique event is expected to attract significant attention from both local and international audiences, further solidifying Morocco’s position as a leading cultural destination in the region.
