On Tuesday evening, June 25, the judicial police forces of the regional security of El Jadida managed to arrest three people suspected of belonging to a criminal network involved in the trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security, the security operation was carried out in the “Tekni” area on the outskirts of the city, where the suspects were found in possession of large quantities of drugs inside a light vehicle, and the search operation resulted in the seizure of 44 grams of cocaine, 2950 hallucinogenic tablets, and amounts of al-Shira.
Also found during the search were four white weapons, electronic scales, about 55 liters of water of life liquor, in addition to a cash amount suspected to be the proceeds of criminal activity.
Investigations revealed that one of the detainees was the subject of national search warrants issued by the Casablanca judicial police for charges related to kidnapping, detention, and drug trafficking.
The suspects were taken into custody by order of the Public Prosecution, to complete the investigations and arrest other persons suspected of involvement in these criminal activities, and to uncover possible back networks that may be linked to them.
