Rabat – Le ministre des Affaires étrangères, de la Coopération africaine et des Marocains résidant à l’étranger, Nasser Bourita, a affirmé mercredi à Rabat que la signature de l’accord relatif à la participation du Maroc à la Force internationale de stabilisation dans la bande de Gaza (ISF) traduit la continuité de l’engagement du Royaume, sous la conduite de Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI, Président du Comité Al-Qods, en faveur du peuple palestinien et des efforts de paix et de stabilité au Moyen-Orient.
Cette déclaration a été faite lors de la cérémonie de signature de l’accord entre le Royaume du Maroc et le Conseil pour la paix, portant sur la participation de l’unité marocaine à la Force internationale de stabilisation à Gaza, conformément aux Hautes Instructions de Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI.
Le ministre a expliqué que cette participation s’inscrit dans le cadre de la vision royale, qui repose sur des positions constantes et sur la mise en œuvre de solutions concrètes et d’initiatives pratiques au service de la paix et de la stabilité, tout en préservant les principes fondamentaux du Royaume concernant la cause palestinienne.
M. Bourita a souligné que le soutien du Maroc au peuple palestinien ne s’est pas limité aux positions politiques, mais s’est également traduit par des actions sur le terrain, notamment l’acheminement, sur Hautes Instructions Royales, de centaines de tonnes d’aide humanitaire et médicale vers la bande de Gaza via un corridor terrestre exceptionnel, dont l’ouverture a été négociée par le Maroc afin d’assurer l’acheminement des secours.
Il a ajouté que ces efforts se poursuivent à travers les programmes mis en œuvre par l’Agence Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif, qui comprennent la construction et la réhabilitation d’établissements scolaires, le soutien aux hôpitaux de Jérusalem-Est, l’octroi de bourses aux étudiants palestiniens, la prise en charge des orphelins et le financement de projets générateurs de revenus au profit des familles palestiniennes dans le besoin.
Le ministre a réaffirmé la position constante du Royaume du Maroc, sous la conduite de Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI, en faveur de la solution à deux États, garantissant la création d’un État palestinien indépendant dans les frontières du 4 juin 1967, avec Jérusalem-Est comme capitale, vivant côte à côte avec Israël dans un climat de paix et de sécurité.
Cette déclaration intervient quelques heures après l’annonce officielle de la participation du Maroc à la Force internationale de stabilisation à Gaza, qui comprendra des éléments des Forces Armées Royales, de la Gendarmerie Royale, de la Direction Générale de la Sûreté Nationale, ainsi qu’un hôpital militaire de campagne, dans le cadre des efforts internationaux visant à renforcer la sécurité et la stabilité dans la bande de Gaza.
Des observateurs estiment que cette initiative illustre la volonté du Royaume de poursuivre une approche combinant soutien humanitaire et participation aux initiatives internationales en faveur de la stabilité, tout en maintenant sa position diplomatique constante sur la question palestinienne.
Morocco Strengthens Its Presence in Gaza… Bourita: Our Participation in the International Stabilization Force Extends the King’s Support for Palestine
Rabat – Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, stated on Wednesday in Rabat that the signing of the agreement for Morocco’s participation in the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in the Gaza Strip reflects the Kingdom’s continued commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to supporting the Palestinian people and promoting peace and stability in the Middle East.
Bourita made these remarks during the signing ceremony of the agreement between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Peace Council concerning the participation of the Moroccan contingent in the International Stabilization Force in Gaza, in implementation of the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The minister explained that Morocco’s participation is part of the Royal vision, which has consistently combined principled political positions with practical initiatives and concrete solutions aimed at promoting peace and stability while maintaining the Kingdom’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.
He stressed that Morocco’s support for the Palestinians has gone beyond political positions and has been translated into tangible actions, including the delivery of hundreds of tons of humanitarian and medical aid to the Gaza Strip under Royal Instructions through an exceptional land corridor, whose opening Morocco successfully negotiated to facilitate the delivery of assistance to the population.
Bourita added that these efforts continue through the programs implemented by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, including the construction and rehabilitation of educational institutions, support for hospitals in East Jerusalem, scholarships for Palestinian students, assistance for orphans, and funding for income-generating projects benefiting vulnerable Palestinian families.
The Foreign Minister reiterated Morocco’s long-standing position, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in support of the two-state solution, calling for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 4 June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, living side by side with Israel in peace and security.
His statement came only hours after Morocco officially announced its participation in the International Stabilization Force in Gaza, which will include personnel from the Royal Armed Forces, the Royal Gendarmerie, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), as well as a military field hospital, as part of international efforts to promote security and stability in the Gaza Strip.
Observers believe that this initiative reflects Morocco’s continued approach of combining humanitarian support with active participation in international peace initiatives, while maintaining its consistent diplomatic position on the Palestinian cause.
