Rabat – Le ministre des Affaires étrangères, de la Coopération africaine et des Marocains résidant à l’étranger, Nasser Bourita, a reçu ce jeudi à Rabat Serign Modou Njie, ministre des Affaires étrangères, de la Coopération internationale et des Gambiens de l’extérieur, en sa qualité d’envoyé spécial du président de la République de Gambie, Adama Barrow, porteur d’un message écrit adressé au roi Mohammed VI.
Le responsable gambien a affirmé, dans une déclaration à la presse à l’issue de la rencontre, la profondeur des liens d’amitié et de fraternité unissant le Maroc et la Gambie, saluant la volonté commune de renforcer le partenariat stratégique entre les deux pays conformément à la vision du roi Mohammed VI et du président Adama Barrow.
Il a également souligné le caractère exemplaire des relations bilatérales entre Rabat et Banjul, estimant qu’elles reposent sur des bases solides de solidarité, de coopération et de respect mutuel, tout en appelant à poursuivre et renforcer la coopération dans les différents domaines d’intérêt commun.
Cette visite s’inscrit dans la dynamique continue que connaissent les relations maroco-gambiennes, traduisant le niveau élevé de coordination politique et diplomatique entre les deux pays aux niveaux africain et international.
Message to King Mohammed VI from the President of Gambia: renewed commitment to the Morocco–Africa partnership
Rabat – The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, received on Thursday in Rabat Serign Modou Njie, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, acting as special envoy of the President of the Republic of Gambia, Adama Barrow, carrying a written message addressed to King Mohammed VI.
The Gambian official stated, in a press briefing following the meeting, the depth of the friendship and brotherhood ties between Morocco and Gambia, praising the shared will to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries in line with the vision of King Mohammed VI and President Adama Barrow.
He also highlighted the exemplary nature of bilateral relations between Rabat and Banjul, noting that they are based on strong foundations of solidarity, cooperation, and mutual respect, while calling for the continuation and strengthening of cooperation in various areas of common interest.
This visit is part of the ongoing momentum in Morocco–Gambia relations, reflecting the high level of political and diplomatic coordination between the two countries at both African and international levels.
