Rabat – Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI, que Dieu L’assiste, a bien voulu nommer M. Mohamed Amine Benabdellah président de la Cour constitutionnelle. Cette nomination a été annoncée lors d’une audience royale tenue hier, jeudi 18 Dou Al-Hijja 1447 de l’Hégire, correspondant au 4 juin 2026, au Palais Royal de Rabat, consacrée à la réception des membres récemment désignés à la Cour constitutionnelle conformément aux dispositions de la Constitution et de la loi organique régissant cette institution constitutionnelle.
Selon un communiqué du Cabinet Royal, cette audience s’inscrit dans le cadre du renouvellement du tiers des membres de la Cour constitutionnelle, conformément aux dispositions constitutionnelles et légales en vigueur.
Les nominations royales ont concerné M. Mohamed Amine Benabdellah et M. Saad Redouane Barada en tant que membres de la Cour constitutionnelle. Sa Majesté le Roi a également désigné M. Mohamed Amine Benabdellah à la présidence de cette institution.
Par ailleurs, M. Ahmedou El Baz a été nommé membre élu par la Chambre des représentants, tandis que M. Abdelhafid Admine a été nommé membre élu par la Chambre des conseillers.
Au cours de cette audience, les nouveaux membres ont prêté serment devant Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI, que Dieu Le préserve, conformément au communiqué du Cabinet Royal.
La Cour constitutionnelle est l’une des principales institutions constitutionnelles du Royaume. Elle est chargée du contrôle de la constitutionnalité des lois et de l’examen de plusieurs questions constitutionnelles et électorales, contribuant ainsi au renforcement de l’État des institutions et de la primauté du droit.

King Mohammed VI Appoints Mohamed Amine Benabdellah as President of the Constitutional Court as Part of Membership Renewal
Rabat – His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, has appointed Mohamed Amine Benabdellah as President of the Constitutional Court. The appointment was announced during a royal audience held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, corresponding to 18 Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 AH, at the Royal Palace in Rabat, where the newly appointed members of the Constitutional Court were received in accordance with the Constitution and the Organic Law governing this constitutional institution.
According to a statement issued by the Royal Cabinet, the audience took place within the framework of the renewal of one-third of the Constitutional Court’s members, in line with the applicable constitutional and legal provisions.
The royal appointments included Mohamed Amine Benabdellah and Saad Redouane Barada as members of the Constitutional Court, with His Majesty appointing Mohamed Amine Benabdellah as President of the Court.
In addition, Ahmedou El Baz was appointed as a member elected by the House of Representatives, while Abdelhafid Admine was appointed as a member elected by the House of Councillors.
During the audience, the newly appointed members took the oath before His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in accordance with the statement issued by the Royal Cabinet.
The Constitutional Court is one of the Kingdom’s most important constitutional institutions. It is responsible for reviewing the constitutionality of laws and ruling on a range of constitutional and electoral matters, thereby strengthening the rule of law and the institutional framework of the State.
