Rabat – Selon des informations relayées et rapportées par Fès News, le président de la première chambre d’instruction près la Cour d’appel de Rabat aurait décidé, le 22 mai 2026, de placer un magistrat exerçant au tribunal correctionnel de première instance d’Ain Sebaa à Casablanca en détention préventive à la prison d’El Arjate, dans le cadre d’une affaire liée à un enregistrement audio diffusé sur les réseaux sociaux.
D’après les informations disponibles, l’enregistrement audio attribué au magistrat contiendrait des éléments susceptibles de relever de la violation du secret professionnel et du manquement au devoir de réserve. Il lui est également reproché des échanges présumés avec Hicham Gerando, recherché par la justice marocaine dans des affaires liées à l’hostilité envers les institutions de l’État et résidant actuellement au Canada.
Selon les mêmes sources, l’Inspecteur général des affaires judiciaires aurait procédé à l’audition du magistrat concerné avant de transmettre un rapport au Procureur général du Roi près la Cour de cassation et président du ministère public, lequel aurait ensuite transféré le dossier au Procureur général du Roi près la Cour d’appel de Rabat afin d’approfondir les investigations.
Le Procureur général du Roi près la Cour d’appel de Rabat aurait également entendu le juge suspecté dans le cadre de l’enquête en cours, avant de décider de son placement en détention préventive dans l’attente de la poursuite des investigations judiciaires.

Rabat – According to circulating reports cited by Fes News, the president of the First Investigative Chamber at the Court of Appeal in Rabat reportedly ordered on May 22, 2026, the pretrial detention of a judge serving at the criminal court of first instance in Ain Sebaa in Casablanca at El Arjate prison, in connection with a case involving an audio recording circulated on social media platforms.
According to available information, the audio recording allegedly attributed to the judge is suspected of containing information related to the disclosure of professional secrets and a breach of judicial reserve obligations. The case also reportedly involves alleged communication with Hicham Gerando, who is wanted by Moroccan authorities in cases related to hostility toward state institutions and is currently residing in Canada.
The same sources stated that the Inspector General of Judicial Affairs reportedly questioned the judge concerned before referring the file, along with a report, to the Prosecutor General at the Court of Cassation and head of the Public Prosecution Office, who in turn referred the matter to the Prosecutor General at the Rabat Court of Appeal for further investigation.
The Prosecutor General at the Rabat Court of Appeal also reportedly questioned the suspected judge as part of the ongoing investigation before ordering his pretrial detention pending the continuation of judicial inquiries.
