Rabat – Le Japon a annoncé ce vendredi son soutien au plan d’autonomie proposé par le Maroc pour résoudre le conflit du Sahara, considérant qu’“une véritable autonomie sous souveraineté marocaine représente l’une des solutions les plus réalistes” pour mettre fin à ce différend régional.
Rabat – Japan announced on Friday its support for the autonomy plan proposed by Morocco to resolve the Sahara dispute, considering that “genuine autonomy under Moroccan sovereignty represents one of the most realistic solutions” to end this regional conflict.

Cette position a été exprimée dans un communiqué conjoint signé par le ministre des Affaires étrangères, de la Coopération africaine et des Marocains résidant à l’étranger, Nasser Bourita, et son homologue japonais Toshimitsu Motegi, à l’issue de discussions tenues par visioconférence à l’occasion du soixante-dixième anniversaire de l’établissement des relations diplomatiques entre le Maroc et le Japon.
This position was expressed in a joint statement signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita and his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi following talks held via videoconference on the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Japan.

Tokyo a salué, selon le communiqué, la résolution 2797 du Conseil de sécurité des Nations Unies adoptée le 31 octobre 2025, laquelle a confirmé que l’initiative d’autonomie sous souveraineté marocaine constitue une solution réaliste au conflit autour du Sahara marocain.

Le Japon a également exprimé son soutien aux efforts du secrétaire général des Nations Unies et de son envoyé personnel afin de faire avancer le processus politique, sur la base de l’initiative marocaine d’autonomie, dans le but de parvenir à une solution politique durable et mutuellement acceptable.
Japan also expressed support for the efforts of the United Nations Secretary-General and his personal envoy to advance the political process based on the Moroccan autonomy initiative, with the aim of reaching a lasting and mutually acceptable political solution.

Tokyo a appelé toutes les parties à s’engager dans les négociations “sans conditions préalables” et sur la base du plan d’autonomie marocain, affirmant que cette option demeure l’une des solutions les plus applicables pour régler le conflit.
