Maroc – La Finlande a affirmé, dimanche 1er mars 2026, que l’initiative d’autonomie sous souveraineté marocaine constitue « l’une des solutions les plus réalistes » pour régler la question du Sahara marocain, à l’issue d’entretiens officiels ayant réuni le ministre des Affaires étrangères, de la Coopération africaine et des Marocains résidant à l’étranger, Nasser Bourita, et son homologue finlandaise Elina Valtonen, en visite officielle dans le Royaume.
Morocco – On Sunday, March 1, 2026, Finland stated that the autonomy initiative under Moroccan sovereignty represents “one of the most realistic solutions” to resolve the issue of the Moroccan Sahara, following official talks between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Finnish counterpart Elina Valtonen, who is on an official visit to the Kingdom.

Un communiqué conjoint publié à Rabat indique que la Finlande « a réitéré son soutien au plan d’autonomie présenté par le Maroc », le considérant comme une base sérieuse, crédible et pertinente pour parvenir à une solution politique définitive et mutuellement acceptable par les parties concernées.
A joint statement issued in Rabat noted that Finland “reiterated its support for the autonomy plan presented by Morocco,” considering it a serious, credible, and relevant basis for reaching a final political solution acceptable to the concerned parties.

Les deux parties ont également salué l’adoption de la résolution 2797 (2025) du Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies, tout en réaffirmant leur soutien aux efforts du Secrétaire général des Nations unies et de son Envoyé personnel en vue d’aboutir à une solution politique juste, durable et mutuellement acceptable.
Both sides also welcomed the adoption of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797 (2025), while reaffirming their support for the efforts of the UN Secretary-General and his Personal Envoy to achieve a just, lasting, and mutually acceptable political solution.
