According to consistent testimonies from residents, the rise in the river’s water level during the heavy rains led to the flooding of several homes, particularly in the lower part of the neighborhood, which required the precautionary evacuation of affected families at the time.
Selon des témoignages concordants, la montée du niveau des eaux de l’oued lors des fortes pluies a entraîné l’inondation de plusieurs habitations, notamment dans la partie basse du quartier, ce qui a nécessité l’évacuation préventive de familles sinistrées.

Residents report that mud and stagnant water remain in some alleys, along with unpleasant odors, which they consider detrimental to living conditions in the area. Some families also mentioned cases of allergies and respiratory symptoms, particularly among children and the elderly, calling for intensified cleaning operations and environmental treatment measures.
Les habitants signalent la persistance de boues et d’eaux stagnantes dans certaines ruelles, ainsi que des odeurs désagréables, qu’ils estiment nuisibles à la qualité de vie dans le quartier. Certaines familles ont également fait état de cas d’allergies et de troubles respiratoires, notamment chez les enfants et les personnes âgées, appelant à un renforcement des opérations de nettoyage et de traitement environnemental.

Affected residents have called on the Governor of Taza Province, the Municipal Council of Taza, and the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection to intervene in order to:
Remove flood debris comprehensively;
Address stagnant water and odor issues;
Strengthen health monitoring in the neighborhood;
Study preventive solutions to reduce future flood risks.
Des habitants sinistrés ont appelé le Gouverneur de la Taza Province, le Conseil communal de Taza et la Délégation provinciale du Ministère de la Santé et de la Protection sociale à intervenir afin de :
Éliminer complètement les déchets et résidus des inondations ;
Traiter le problème des eaux stagnantes et des mauvaises odeurs ;
Renforcer la surveillance sanitaire dans le quartier ;
Étudier des solutions préventives pour limiter les risques d’inondations à l’avenir.
