Les travaux de la 48e session ordinaire du Conseil exécutif de l’Union africaine ont débuté mercredi matin au siège de l’Union africaine dans la capitale éthiopienne Addis-Abeba, avec la participation du Royaume du Maroc, dans le cadre des préparatifs en cours pour la tenue du 39e Sommet des chefs d’État et de gouvernement de l’Union.
The proceedings of the 48th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union began on Wednesday morning at the headquarters of the African Union in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, with the participation of the Kingdom of Morocco, as part of the ongoing preparations for the 39th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Union.

Le Maroc est représenté à cette session par une délégation conduite par le ministre des Affaires étrangères, de la Coopération africaine et des Marocains résidant à l’étranger, M. Nasser Bourita, aux côtés de responsables du ministère des Affaires étrangères.
Morocco is represented at this session by a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita, alongside officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Selon les informations dont dispose Fès News, cette session examinera notamment le rapport de la 51e session du Comité des représentants permanents, tenue en janvier dernier. Elle procédera également à l’élection et à la nomination de responsables au sein de plusieurs organes de l’Union africaine, en plus de discuter des projets d’ordre du jour et des projets de décisions devant être soumis au prochain Sommet des chefs d’État et de gouvernement.
According to information available to Fes News, this session will in particular review the report of the 51st session of the Permanent Representatives Committee, held last January. It will also witness the election and appointment of officials within several organs of the African Union, in addition to discussing draft agendas and draft decisions to be submitted to the upcoming Summit of Heads of State and Government.

Le 39e Sommet de l’Union africaine est prévu les 14 et 15 février courant, sous le thème : « Assurer un accès durable à l’eau et à des systèmes d’assainissement sûrs pour atteindre les objectifs de l’Agenda 2063 », un thème qui reflète la priorité accordée par l’Union aux questions de sécurité hydrique et de développement durable sur le continent.
The 39th African Union Summit is scheduled to take place on February 14 and 15 under the theme: “Ensuring sustainable access to water and safe sanitation systems to achieve the goals of Agenda 2063,” a theme that reflects the priority the Union gives to water security and sustainable development issues on the continent.
