Official security sources reported that competent services, in a joint operation involving officers of the Moroccan National Police and the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration, succeeded in thwarting an international drug trafficking attempt at the Guerguerat border crossing, south of the city of Dakhla.

Selon les informations publiées par la Direction générale de la sûreté nationale, l’opération a permis la saisie d’une importante quantité de cannabis (chira), dont le poids total s’élève à cinq tonnes et 600 kilogrammes, destinée à être acheminée via des routes internationales.
According to information released by the General Directorate of National Security, the operation resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of cannabis resin (chira), with a total weight of five tons and 600 kilograms, intended for trafficking through international routes.
