La Royal Moroccan Football Federation a publié un communiqué officiel réagissant aux événements ayant marqué la finale de la Coupe d’Afrique des Nations, opposant le Maroc au Sénégal, affirmant avoir entamé les procédures légales nécessaires conformément aux règlements en vigueur auprès de la Confederation of African Football et de la FIFA.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation issued an official statement reacting to the incidents that marked the Africa Cup of Nations final between Morocco and Senegal, confirming that it has initiated the necessary legal procedures in accordance with the applicable regulations of the Confederation of African Football and FIFA.
Dans son communiqué, la Fédération a précisé avoir soumis un dossier complet concernant le retrait des joueurs de la sélection sénégalaise de la pelouse durant la finale, ainsi que les incidents survenus à la suite de l’attribution d’un penalty en faveur de l’équipe marocaine, estimant que ces faits ont eu un impact direct sur le déroulement normal du match et sur la performance des joueurs.
In its statement, the Federation indicated that it submitted a comprehensive file regarding the temporary withdrawal of Senegalese players from the pitch during the final, as well as the incidents that followed the awarding of a penalty to the Moroccan team, considering that these actions directly affected the normal course of the match and the players’ performance.
La Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football a souligné que cette démarche s’inscrit dans sa volonté de faire respecter les laws of the game et les principes du fair-play, tout en défendant les intérêts de l’équipe nationale dans un cadre légal et institutionnel, sans recours à toute forme d’escalade non sportive.

Par ailleurs, la Fédération a exprimé sa gratitude et sa reconnaissance envers les supporters marocains qui ont massivement assisté aux matches de l’équipe nationale, faisant preuve d’un esprit sportif exemplaire et d’un soutien civilisé tout au long du tournoi, aussi bien lors de la finale que durant les autres rencontres des « Lions de l’Atlas ».
