Police officers from the Provincial Security District in the city of Biougra, in coordination with services of the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, succeeded in the early hours of Saturday morning, January 10, in seizing a total of 12,090 narcotic tablets and arresting three individuals aged between 22 and 30, on suspicion of possessing and trafficking drugs and psychotropic substances.
According to available information, two of the suspects were arrested aboard a light vehicle on the outskirts of Biougra. A search operation resulted in the seizure of 7,500 medical narcotic tablets of the type “Rivotril,” in addition to a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from this illegal activity.

As investigations related to this case continued, security operations led to the arrest of a third individual suspected of involvement in the same acts. A search conducted inside a house he used in the rural area of “Al-Qliâa” resulted in the seizure of an additional 4,590 hallucinogenic tablets of the type “Ecstasy,” along with another sum of money believed to be proceeds from trafficking these prohibited substances.

The suspects have been placed under judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, with the aim of identifying any remaining links to this criminal activity and arresting any other individuals suspected of being involved in the case.
