The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the appointment of Mauritanian referee Dahane Beida to officiate the match between the Morocco national football team and the Cameroon national football team, scheduled for today, Friday, at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, as part of the quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025.
CAF explained that the refereeing crew will include, alongside the main referee, the two Angolan assistant referees Gerson Emiliano dos Santos and Invanildo Mireles de Oliveira Sanchez, while the role of fourth official has been assigned to Sudanese referee Mahmoud Ali Mahmoud Ismail.
Regarding the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system, the organizing body stated that Ghanaian referee Daniel Laryea will oversee the VAR room, assisted by Tunisian referee Haitham Guirat and Mauritanian referee Boubacar Sar.
This match is considered one of the most prominent fixtures of the quarterfinal stage, amid strong public anticipation for this high-profile clash, hosted by the capital Rabat as part of the Morocco-hosted edition of the tournament.
