Precise Intelligence Leads to the Arrest of “Karkoubi” Dealers at Salé Train Station

Security sources reported that police officers from the New Salé Security District, in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), succeeded on the morning of Tuesday, January 7, in arresting two individuals suspected of involvement in drug trafficking and the distribution of psychotropic substances.

According to the same sources, the first suspect was arrested at the railway station in the city of Salé. A search operation resulted in the seizure of 3,000 medical narcotic tablets of the type “Rivotril,” in addition to a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from this illegal activity.

Security sources added that ongoing investigations and inquiries in connection with the case led to the arrest of a second individual suspected of links to the same criminal activity. A search conducted in this context resulted in the seizure of an additional sum of money believed to be derived from drug trafficking.

Both suspects were placed under judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine any further potential extensions of this criminal activity and to identify all individuals possibly involved.
