The Kingdom of Morocco has affirmed that it is closely and keenly monitoring the recent developments in the brotherly Republic of Yemen, reiterating its firm and unwavering position in support of Yemen’s national unity, its sovereignty over its entire territory, and the Yemeni people’s right to security and stability.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, this position reflects Morocco’s commitment to the principles of international law, good-neighborliness, and respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, while emphasizing Morocco’s steadfast support for all efforts aimed at preserving Yemen’s unity and stability.
In line with its commitment to promoting stability in the Arab region, the Kingdom of Morocco reaffirmed its rejection of any actions that undermine Yemen’s sovereignty or territorial integrity, and reiterated its support for all initiatives seeking to de-escalate tensions in a manner that serves the security and stability of the region.
The statement also urged all concerned parties to engage in dialogue in order to reach a comprehensive political solution under the auspices of international legitimacy, one that preserves Yemen’s unity and sovereignty and fulfills the aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people for a dignified life and lasting stability.
