“They caught them”: tightly coordinated security-intelligence operation brings down a gang suspected of selling cocaine and cannabis

Police officers in Tangier, working in coordination with the Directorate General for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), arrested four individuals on Thursday, December 25, on suspicion of involvement in a case related to the possession and trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.

According to available information, the suspects were apprehended in Tangier in flagrante delicto. Searches and seizures reportedly resulted in the confiscation of a total of 1,767 narcotic pills of different types, along with quantities of cocaine and cannabis resin (chira).

The operation also led to the seizure of a bladed weapon, an electronic scale, and a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from the alleged criminal activity.

The suspects were placed under judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office, to determine the acts attributed to them and uncover further circumstances and possible extensions of the case.
