Residents of the douar of Talajdout, التابعة لجماعة مغراوة in Taza Province, are complaining about frequent outages and severe weakness in the coverage of the “Inwi” network, leaving the area, as they describe it, in a state of near-total isolation due to the absence of phone and internet services.
Those affected confirm that the outages can last for several consecutive days without prior notice, as the situation has evolved from “weak coverage” to complete disconnection at certain times. This has disrupted their daily communication and the handling of their affairs, which have become increasingly dependent on digital services.
Residents warn of the consequences of this situation on emergency cases that require contacting ambulance services or authorities, in addition to its impact on schooling for pupils and students, as well as on the activities of professionals and traders in the area.
Some residents report that they have submitted individual complaints to customer service, but these, according to them, have not led to a lasting solution, prompting them to renew their calls for on-site technical intervention.
The residents of the douar are calling for urgent action by “Inwi” through the deployment of a technical team to assess and repair the faults, or to strengthen coverage through technical solutions such as upgrading equipment or installing a new relay station. They also appeal to the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT) to intervene to ensure compliance with the quality of service stipulated in contracts.
