The Tariqa Qadiriyya Boutchichiyya, under the direction of its Sheikh, Dr. Moulay Mounir, held a grand night of celebration marking the fiftieth anniversary of the Green March and the United Nations Security Council’s resolution supporting the Moroccan identity of the Sahara.
On the evening of Saturday, November 1st, the mother Qadiriyya Boutchichiyya zawiya in Madagh will host a major national and spiritual ceremony with the participation of the order’s branches from all regions of the Kingdom, responding to the call of their Sheikh, Dr. Moulay Mounir. The celebration commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of the glorious Green March and welcomes the UN Security Council’s adoption of a resolution supporting the autonomy initiative under Morocco’s full sovereignty. It also reaffirms the spiritual and official legitimacy of Sheikh Dr. Moulay Mounir Qadiri Boutchich as the rightful leader of the order both in Morocco and abroad.
The event will take place in an atmosphere filled with patriotic fervor and spiritual purity, reflecting the deep bond between authentic Moroccan Sufism and love of the homeland. Through this ceremony, and with the blessing of its Sheikh, Dr. Moulay Mounir, the zawiya reasserts its deep commitment to serving religious and national values under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI – may God assist him.
The night will feature numerous complete recitations of the Holy Qur’an and of Sahih al-Bukhari, along with the litanies and spiritual invocations specific to the order: the Wazifa, the I‘tisam, the Nasra, the Faraj, the Ghyth, and others. Sincere prayers will be raised for the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI – may God grant him health and well-being – and for the Kingdom’s continued security, prosperity, and stability.
Furthermore, the disciples of the order followed, on Friday, October 31st, the royal speech that His Majesty began with the verse: “Indeed, We have granted you a clear victory.” The King declared: “After fifty years of sacrifice, we now begin a new chapter to bring a definitive end to the artificial conflict, based on the autonomy initiative.” The speech resounded within the walls of the zawiya, broadcast on screens and followed by Sheikh Dr. Moulay Mounir and his disciples in an atmosphere of joy and celebration, concluding with prayers for the noble Kingdom and its valiant monarchs: the late His Majesty King Mohammed V, the late His Majesty King Hassan II – the visionary architect of this glorious march – and His Majesty King Mohammed VI – may God assist him, grant him long life, and make him a source of protection for the nation and its people.
O Lord, grant victory to the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, clothe him in health and well-being, bless him with righteous advisors to assist him in the affairs of religion and state, protect his beloved Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, strengthen him through his brother Prince Moulay Rachid, and safeguard the entire noble royal family.
