ICAO Praises Morocco’s Civil Aviation Progress and Grants International Recognition Certificate.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on Tuesday praised Morocco’s significant progress in the field of civil aviation, particularly in aviation safety and compliance with international standards.

During the 42nd session of the ICAO Assembly, ICAO Council President Salvatore Sciacchitano presented a certificate of recognition to Morocco’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdelssamad Kayouh, in acknowledgment of the Kingdom’s efforts to establish an effective aviation safety oversight system and to enhance the implementation of ICAO standards and practices.

The certificate highlights the tangible improvement in monitoring Morocco’s national aviation safety system and reaffirms the country’s ongoing commitment to developing a safe and sustainable civil aviation sector.

In 2023 and 2024, Morocco hosted ICAO inspection missions covering multiple areas, including air safety, air navigation security, and airport certification. These missions confirmed Morocco’s significant progress in meeting ICAO standards.

Morocco is participating in the Assembly, held from September 23 to October 3 in Montreal, with a high-level delegation led by Minister Kayouh. The participation underscores the Kingdom’s renewed commitment to strengthening international cooperation in civil aviation as a driver of development and regional as well as global integration
