Onahi Scores His First Goal in La Liga and Shines in Girona vs. Athletic Bilbao Match

Moroccan international Azeddine Onahi impressed La Liga fans during his team’s match, Girona, against Athletic Bilbao, which ended in a 1-1 draw on Tuesday evening as part of the sixth round of the league at San Mamés Stadium.

Onahi, known as the “Atlas Lion,” scored his first La Liga goal in the 9th minute, opening the scoring for Girona and showcasing his remarkable presence through valuable movements and precise passes that troubled the Basque team’s defense.

In the second half, at the 48th minute, Miguel Gorguizar equalized for Athletic Bilbao, leading the match to end in a shared point between the two teams.

It is worth noting that this goal is Onahi’s first in La Liga after officially joining Girona on a contract until 2030, coming from the French club Olympique Marseille.

With this draw, Athletic Bilbao raised its tally to 10 points, occupying fifth place in the league standings, while Girona remained at the bottom with only two points.

Meanwhile, Moroccan international Marouane Senadi, Athletic Bilbao’s striker, stayed on the bench throughout the match without participating.
