Nairobi, Kenya – After winning the title of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024, the Moroccan national team received individual awards, with Mohamed Rabii Hrimat and Oussama Lamlioui being crowned Best Player and Top Scorer of the tournament, respectively.
Noteworthy Brilliance from Hrimat and Lamlioui
Moroccan midfielder Mohamed Rabii Hrimat was chosen as the best player in the eighth edition of the tournament after leading the “Atlas Lions” to their third title. Hrimat, the team’s captain, had a remarkable performance throughout the championship, having previously won the Man of the Match award in two games against Angola and Tanzania.
For his part, striker Oussama Lamlioui secured the top scorer award after netting six goals, including two crucial goals in the final match against Madagascar, which the “Lions” won 3-2.
A Deserved Crowning for Moroccan Football
This recognition confirms the outstanding performance of the Moroccan national team throughout the tournament, which was held from August 2nd to 30th in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, adding a new title to Morocco’s impressive record in continental football.
