The “Green March” Aerobatic Team, affiliated with the Royal Moroccan Air Force, delivered a spectacular air show over the skies of M’diq Beach in celebration of the 26th anniversary of the Glorious Throne Day.
In a breathtaking display, the team’s CAP 232 aircraft painted the sky with colorful and artistic formations, captivating thousands of onlookers—locals and Moroccan and foreign visitors alike—who gathered to witness this unique national celebration.
Seven highly skilled pilots performed with remarkable precision and synchronicity, presenting intricate aerial maneuvers that reflected both exceptional expertise and daring, executing both solo and group figures at varying altitudes with intense concentration and courage.
The show featured a variety of stunts, including the “double loop” and “low pass,” as well as signature maneuvers like the “split,” “snowfall,” “tail slide,” and “reverse circle,” some of which have been entered in the Guinness Book of Records under the team’s name in the late 1980s.
The display continued with symbolic patriotic formations, most notably the “Sacred Star” symbolizing the heart of the national flag, and the “double heart” reflecting the Royal Air Force’s devotion to the Glorious Alaouite Throne, along with other creative figures like the “palm,” “multi-cross,” and “face-to-face.”
Other showcased maneuvers included the “shock,” “hurricane passage,” “synchronized inclined rotation,” “solo turn with double twist,” and the “English pass,” intensifying the excitement and admiration among the audience for the team’s impressive skills.
The show concluded with the team drawing the number 26 in the skies of M’diq, commemorating the 26th anniversary of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s enthronement, in an emotional and festive moment that set the crowd’s spirits alight.
The performance lasted about 20 minutes—enough to reaffirm the outstanding skill and professionalism of the “Green March” team pilots, solidifying its reputation as one of the world’s foremost aerobatic teams.
It is worth recalling that the “Green March” Aerobatic Team was founded in 1984 by order of the late King Hassan II and continues to receive special care and royal sponsorship from His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
