Miami/Maryland – In a significant step to bolster Moroccan commercial presence internationally, the United States of America hosted a Moroccan economic mission led by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of the Casablanca-Settat region and the Moroccan Federation of Franchising. The mission aimed to promote Moroccan products and the “Made in Morocco” brand in the American market.
This initiative aligns with a national strategy to internationalize Moroccan brands. The Moroccan delegation participated in the International Franchise Association (IFA) Miami Franchise World Show on May 9th and 10th and is continuing its participation in the SelectUSA Investment Summit held in Maryland from May 11th to 14th.
During these participations, over a hundred Moroccan products in vital sectors, including food industries, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals, were highlighted, alongside approximately 12 Moroccan franchise brands ready for export. This showcases the readiness of Moroccan products to penetrate competitive global markets, particularly the American market.
The Moroccan pavilion at the Miami exhibition witnessed remarkable interest from American and international visitors. It served as a platform to showcase the quality and diversity of Moroccan products and garnered particular attention from the Moroccan community residing in Florida, as well as American businesspeople who expressed readiness to enter into future commercial and investment partnerships.
The Moroccan delegation also held a series of important meetings, including a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of Miami-Dade County, discussions with the Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, and a working session with a number of Moroccan entrepreneurs residing in the United States.
The joint statement issued by the two organizing institutions affirmed that this mission solidified the positioning of Moroccan products under the national “Made in Morocco” brand as a reliable and distinguished option in the US market. It noted that Moroccan products are enjoying increasing demand and a positive image due to their quality, diversity, and competitiveness.
The Moroccan delegation emphasized the importance of this new dynamic in strengthening the Kingdom’s presence as a reliable economic player in global markets and ensuring a strong presence for Moroccan products on American store shelves, whether through franchising or direct investments.
