Casablanca: Moroccan and Finnish Economic Players Express Joint Desire to Boost Partnership and Investment Opportunities

Casablanca – During the Moroccan-Finnish Economic Forum held in Casablanca, Moroccan and Finnish economic players expressed their shared desire to enhance partnership and investment opportunities between the two countries.

The forum, which brought together active players from various strategic sectors, served as a platform to lay the foundations for an innovative and sustainable partnership, based on the integration of expertise and openness to regional and international markets.

Finnish participants emphasized the significant interest their country attaches to strengthening its partnerships with Morocco, particularly given the Kingdom’s readiness to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup and its adoption of a set of ambitious strategies to accelerate the pace of digital transformation.

The meeting, organized by the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) in partnership with Business Finland, also provided an opportunity to highlight Morocco’s remarkable industrial transformation over the past decade and to showcase the natural complementarities between the Moroccan and Finnish economies.

In this context, a Finnish economic player stated: “Today’s meeting was an opportunity to explore investment opportunities. As we know, Finland is an advanced country in technology sectors such as mining and forestry. Today, we are primarily interested in the startup economy, and we will also discuss some industries such as the electronic games industry, which is a market worth about $200 billion.”

At the continental level, the meeting was marked by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Ryad Mezzour, sharing Morocco’s vision for the next 20 years, which lies in its strategic aspirations in the Atlantic and coastal regions, through massive projects costing billions of dirhams aimed at ensuring food security, improving logistics, and strengthening regional integration.

This economic forum reflects the shared will of economic players in both countries to explore new horizons for cooperation and partnership, serving mutual interests and promoting economic development in both Morocco and Finland.
