A high-level delegation from the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), headed by Brigadier General Abdelkrim Najjar, attended the thirteenth African Land Forces Summit (ALFS 2025) held in Accra, the capital of Ghana, from April 7th to 10th, 2025. The summit convened under the central theme: “Improving Land Force Performance in Response to Emerging Security Environments.”
The summit witnessed broad participation from commanders and representatives of land forces from various African nations, as well as security and military affairs experts. The proceedings involved extensive discussions on the most prominent security challenges facing the continent, including the growing threat of terrorism and extremist groups, the escalation of regional conflicts, the impact of climate change on security, and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination among African land forces to effectively address these challenges.
Brigadier General Abdelkrim Najjar delivered a speech during the summit’s activities, outlining the Kingdom of Morocco’s vision and the efforts of the Royal Armed Forces in strengthening security and stability in the African continent. He also emphasized the importance of exchanging experiences and promoting military cooperation among African countries to collectively and coordinately confront common security challenges.
The Moroccan delegation’s participation in this summit underscores the Kingdom of Morocco’s unwavering commitment to promoting peace and security in the African continent and supporting regional and international efforts aimed at addressing various security threats and ensuring a more stable and prosperous future for the continent’s peoples. The summit provided an important opportunity to exchange perspectives and deepen dialogue on ways to develop the capabilities of African land forces and enable them to fully play their role in maintaining peace and stability on the continent.
