Taounate: The Provincial Delegation of Health and Social Protection in Taounate, in line with the other provinces and prefectures of the Fez-Meknes region, has actively joined the national campaign to raise awareness about the importance of prenatal care. The campaign, themed “Let’s Hurry and Complete Pregnancy Visits… Let’s Preserve the Health of Mother and Child,” runs from April 7th to May 8th, 2025.
In this context, under the supervision of the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection in the Fez-Meknes region, and in coordination with local authorities1 and in partnership with the National Initiative for Human Development, the Provincial Delegation of Health and Social Protection in Taounate organized a series of health caravans targeting various provincial districts. The launch of these caravans took place at the Women’s Training and Integration Center in the Rmila neighborhood of Taounate on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025.
This national campaign aims to consolidate achievements and improve the quality of services related to prenatal care, considering it a fundamental element in reducing maternal and newborn mortality rates. Furthermore, the campaign seeks to highlight the crucial importance of the first 1,000 days of a child’s life as a decisive stage in the development of future generations. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection emphasizes that the health of mothers and children remains one of its top priorities, noting the significant results achieved at the national level in this field.
