Legal and judicial circles are preparing to receive a new and distinguished publication within the “Jurisprudence of the Court of Cassation in Commercial Matters” series, which will be titled: “Part Six: Banking Liability,” authored by Judges Hicham El Ammari and Hicham Housni, judges at the Commercial Court of First Instance in Fez.
This part comes to complete a scientific and knowledge-based journey aimed at codifying and presenting more than 100 recent decisions issued by the Commercial Chamber of the Court of Cassation up to the end of 2024. This will be done within the framework of a precise analytical and classificatory reading of the jurisprudence of the highest judicial body in the Kingdom concerning banking matters.
The upcoming publication addresses important axes that touch upon the core of banking transactions, including:

- Bank liability for the safekeeping of deposits.
- Bank liability for the management and closure of bank accounts.
- Bank liability for the actions of its employees.
- Bank liability in negotiable instruments and banking relationships.
- Bank liability in granting and withdrawing credit.
This work is considered one of the important practical references that serves judges, lawyers, research professors, and law students, especially in light of the scarcity of specialized judicial documentation in banking law.
The book will be published by Dar Al Aman Publications, first edition in 2025, and includes a foreword by Dr. Idriss Ldarni, Professor of Higher Education at the Faculty of Law in Fez.
It is worth noting that this specialized series enjoys widespread attention from professionals and researchers and constitutes a qualitative addition to the path of the scientific foundation of the jurisprudence of the Court of Cassation in commercial matters.
