Agadir – April 9th: The elements of the Provincial Judicial Police Service in Agadir managed this Wednesday afternoon, based on precise intelligence provided by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), to arrest three individuals suspected of being linked to a criminal network involved in trafficking drugs and psychotropic substances.
Security sources reported that the arrested individuals are aged between 36 and 46, and all have prior criminal records. They were apprehended aboard a light vehicle in a neighborhood of Agadir, on suspicion of their involvement in possessing a quantity of narcotics.
The search operation conducted within the framework of this case resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of drugs and psychotropic substances, amounting to 3090 narcotic tablets, including 2415 tablets of “Rivotril” and 675 “Ecstasy” pills. Two and a half kilograms of cannabis resin (hashish) were also seized, in addition to a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from this criminal activity.
The same sources clarified that the suspects have been placed in police custody under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to deepen the judicial investigation and uncover all the circumstances surrounding this case, and to determine all the criminal acts attributed to the arrested individuals. This operation comes within the framework of the continuous efforts made by the security services to combat drug trafficking networks and maintain the security and safety of citizens.
