The first team of Pyramids FC arrived in the city of Meknes on Monday, in preparation for their return leg against the Royal Army in the CAF Champions League.
Pyramids FC will face the Royal Army in the quarterfinals of the competition, aiming to secure a spot in the next stages after a commanding 4-1 victory in the first leg, which was held in Cairo.
The Egyptian team’s delegation arrived in Meknes from the capital, Rabat, after recent tensions between the two clubs. These tensions stemmed from Pyramids’ protest over the lack of a dedicated training facility, sparking controversy between the sides.
A press conference is expected to be held today, where Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurčić and Moroccan midfielder Walid El Karti will discuss the team’s preparations for the match.
The match is scheduled to take place today, Tuesday, April 8, at 8:00 PM (GMT+1) at the Cherifian Stadium in Meknes.
